There are 34 pillars on this stretch SOUTH AFRICA: ABSA has recently taken up position on the M1 Underpass, advertising its accelerated payment options, even when traffic is slow. The advertising which stretches across 34 pillars took two weeks to applicate.

Due to traffic restrictions and for the sake of road safety, the application of the banners was undertaken at night, between 10pm and 4am, with one lane closed at a time. The advertising spans for approximately 1km and accumulated production is over 1400m².

This has a huge potential of becoming a 'Landmark' site The M1 Underpass overlooking Newtown sees thousands of cars pass under it every day, especially when traffic is congested. It offers a three dimensional advertising platform for brands that want to make a big impact.

This site has the potential to become a landmark site. It is a place which most people in Gauteng know and it only require a compeny with with the forward vision to book it for a long period of time and it will become for example the "ABSA tunnel" or the "MTN tunnel".
