GAUTENG: The Council for GeoScience (CGS) once again entrusted Moving Ads South Africa to execute its National Science Week activation at schools around Gauteng.
The advertising campaign's main objective was to inform and educate the senior student population about geological sciences and opportunities in the faculty of sciences in general.
Moving Ads targetted 20 high schools around Gauteng where access to information and resources is limited. The trucks and promoters visited these schools armed with teaching material and a plethora of brochures and pamphlets provided by the client.
They met with school HODs who allowed access to pupils for tutorial sessions. Students also got an opportunity to interact with the information on the truck, which shed light on how to get into geosciences.
Other campaign activities included explaining the different branches of geological science, distribution of reading material and donation of stationery.
CGS benefited from the mobility and versatility of Moving Ads' Mobile Scrolling-Advan. Few media platforms would be able to network as many schools, create as much hype and awareness and offered the exposure that was afforded the client.
