Ministry of Tourism to select agencies for global campaigns

NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, has invited proposals for selection of advertising agencies and media houses for executing ‘Global Online Campaign 2012-13’ (contract 1), ‘Global Print Campaign 2012-13’ (contract 2) and ‘Global Television Campaign 2012-13’ (contract 3). Selected agencies will be responsible to launch the campaigns in overseas markets during 2012-13, for which, the media plan has been finalised. The respective earnest money deposits (EMD) required is Rs. 80 lakh, Rs. 1.30 crore and Rs. 1.90 crore.

Applicants will have to submit separate proposals for each contract.

The campaigns will be undertaken in phases, during the period 2012-13.

To be eligible for the contracts, applicants should have been in operation for at least five financial years and should have undertaken advertising in the respective media as part of their regular operation.

For contract 1, the applicants should have executed advertising work in online media in at least one of the last three years, for a minimum value of Rs. 1 crore, which includes cost of creatives, media releases and agency commission, for a single client.

For contract 2, the applicants should have executed advertising work in print, electronic and/or outdoor media in at least one of the last three financial years, for a value of Rs. 10 crore and above, which includes cost of creatives, media releases and agency commission, for a single client.

For contract 3, similar conditions as contract 2 apply.

Cumulative turnover of applicants for the last three years should be a minimum of Rs. 150 crore for contract 1, Rs. 300 crore for contracts 2 and 3.

Applicants should be able to provide and indicate a dedicated team for implementing and monitoring the campaigns.

Applicants will have to submit the technical and financial proposals in specified formats.

Applicants will have to submit the EMD through a bank guarantee or demand draft, from a scheduled bank drawn in favour of the pay and accounts officer, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, New Delhi.

Duly completed proposals should reach the deputy director general (publicity, events and IT), Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, Room no. 124, Transport bhavan, 1, Parliament street, New Delhi – 110 001 latest by 4pm on June 14, 2012.

The proposals will be opened on June 15, 2012 at 10.30am.
